Programs for the Younger Set

Animal Tails

 

with Karen Kurkoski, Naturalist

for children ages 4 and 5 years

 

Thursdays- Mornings 9:30-11:00am

Session I: April 3, 10, 17

Session II: May 8, 15, 22

Session III: May 29, June 5, 12

$42 members/$54 non-members per 3-week session. Limit 8 children.

 

Turtles and owls and squirrels, oh my! Rainbows and clouds that touch the sky! Join us for stories that are fun, fanciful and full of nature. Afterwards we will enjoy a game, song, or craft - lots of exciting activities, and learning too! We may go outside for a hike, so please dress for the weather.

 

Tales from the Wild

 

with Barbara Devine, Senior Naturalist

for children ages 3-5

 

Every Friday - 10:30-11:00am (except holidays and vacation weeks)

Free with admission.  Limit 10 children.

 

Join us for stories and tales about animals and nature.  A different story every week!

Please call in advance if you plan to attend.

Parents and Tots

for children ages 5 and under accompanied by a parent

 

Wednesdays- 9:30-10:45am

Session I: April 2, 9, 16

Session II: April 30, May 7, 14

Session III: May 28, June 4, 11

 

$30 members/$35 non-members

per 3 week session

Additional family members are half-price; papooses are free!

Limit 8 children.

As spring revs up, the woods and fields fill with life. Wildflowers bloom; returning birds call. Bring a child on guided tours around the Science Center and Jacobs Pond. Please dress for the weather.

Feed the Animals

Wednesdays at 3:00pm, and Saturdays & Monday Holidays at 10:00am.
FREE with admission. 

Pre-registration not required.

Come watch a naturalist feed the animals at the Nature Center.  Learn more about what some turtles eat, where some amphibians live, and other interesting things about the animals in the EcoZone.

Please note: Many of the animals in the EcoZone are wild and non-releasable; therefore guests will not be able to feed or pet the animals themselves.

Meet an Animal

 

Saturdays and Monday holidays at 2:00pm. 

FREE with admission. 

 

Come learn more about one of our animals when a naturalist brings it out for a visit.
