Explore the natural world around the Science Center. Have fun
investigating the woodlands and Jacobs Pond to discover the
secrets of these awesome habitats! Please come dressed for
outdoor exploration and with insect repellent already applied.
Owl Prowl
For families and children ages 5 and above.
Saturday: July 24, 8-9:30 pm
Members: $7/person,
$24 maximum per family,
Non- Members: $10/person, maximum of $35 per family.

Whoo, whoo, wants to get to know some woodland creatures of the
night? Meet a live owl and other interesting animals inside, and
then venture outside to search Jacobs Woods for more of these
mysterious hooting and flying animals. Enjoy a variety of crafts
and other fun activities to discover the adaptations that help
owls hunt under the cover of darkness. Learn how awesome it is
to be nocturnal! Please dress for the weather and bring insect
repellant.

Join us for the Greatest Show Above Earth! Every year at this
time, the Perseid Meteor Showers dazzle observers with shooting
stars. Hands-on activities help you learn about about this
amazing phenomenon. We will then go outside in the field and use
telescopes to scan the night sky for the moon, stars and
planets. As an added treat, we will make s’mores and tell
stories around the campfire. Please dress for the weather and
bring insect repellant

The ever popular herpetologist, Michael K. Ralbovsky of
Rainforest Reptile Shows is back to educate and entertain us
with his interactive, fun and educational show! See exotic,
endangered or animals native to different habitats within the
US. The show is always changing. See these animals up close and
maybe even hold one.
It’s a great time for the whole family! Beat the heat – this
show is in air- conditioned Vine Hall. Sign-up early as this is
a ticketed event and space is limited.
