Sponsor-a-Critter Program
The critters at the SSNSC provide a wonderful opportunity for children and adults to learn about the natural world - the animals and the habitats in which they live. In return we provide them with the best possible life by recreating their natural habitat with suitable shelter and food, and obtaining veterinary care when needed. Most of the animals at the South Shore Natural Science Center have been injured or rescued from possible harm. Sponsoring a critter provides needed funds to ensure high quality of life for these amazing animals. You can help by sponsoring one of these ambassadors of nature, for yourself or as a gift. Please note: The SSNSC may remove animals from display. Animals are living creatures that can become ill or pass away. All sponsors will receive an information sheet about their animal, a certificate and a personalized letter. At the $20 level, sponsors will also receive a 4x6 photo of the critter: American Toad Bullfrog Gray Tree Frog Pickerel Frog Wood Frog Spotted Salamander Madagascar Hissing Cockroach
At the $40 level, sponsors will receive a 4x6 photo of the critter, and 2 admission passes:
Rabbit (Butterscotch) Eastern Box Turtle Musk Turtle Painted Turtle Spotted Turtle Wood Turtle Eastern Garter Snake Eastern Milk Snake Eastern Hognose Snake Albino Black Rat Snake
At the $60 level, sponsors will receive a 5x7 photo of the critter, 2 admission passes, and an individual visit with the critter.
