The World of Peter Rabbit
Explore the world of Peter Rabbit and friends. Pretend to be a mouse crawling through
an underground tunnel, go on a scavenger hunt in Mr. McGregor’s Garden, meet some
real animals from the stories by Beatrix Potter and learn how to draw them.
Join us for a reading of Peter Rabbit at 11 am & 1 pm and learn how he is
similar to the wild rabbits found in our woods.

Mom & Me Tea
Don your favorite garden hat and join us for an afternoon out with Mom! Decorate and take home a lovely pot of posies that you plant. Tea sandwiches, cookies, tea and lemonade will be served.

Little Gardeners!
Wiggling worms, buzzing bugs, and sprouting plants, we’ll find all this and more as we discover what’s happening this spring in the Children’s Garden. We’ll enjoy a garden story, and then get our hands dirty while digging, planting, and exploring! During the fun, we may come upon some creatures that are at home in and
around the garden.
Pre-registration required. Children ages 3-5, accompanied by an adult.

Green Is In
Green is great! It can be cool, wacky and extreme, or the best way to grow fruits, vegetables and flowers. Green can be how we keep our beautiful earth clean, or how animals survive in their habitats. We’ll explore all the ways “green” helps the world go round.

Registration Info: Please dress for the weather! Due to allergy considerations, please provide your child with a peanut-free snack. Notify us in writing of any medical issues, concerns, or allergies. Remember to sign your child in and out, and inform the naturalist of any special arrangements concerning drop off and pick up. Early registration is recommended. Registration is not complete until payment is received.

Homeschool Programs
Join us for a series of programs designed especially for homeschoolers. Each month features a different theme with age appropriate activities. Two programs run at the same time, one for each age group. Remember that an adult must accompany each child ages 3-6.

We will explore the outdoors and investigate the changes during the Spring Season. Take a leisurely guided walk to the pond, fields, or the woods. Dress for the weather. Pre-registration requested.

Mom and Me Nature Fun
Moms, Dads, Grandparents or other caregivers: bring your youngster to the Science Center and have fun with science! Explore the natural world with a different topic each month. Enjoy stories, games, crafts, hikes and other great activities, including a take-away to share at home. We may go outside to investigate, so please dress for the weather. Enrollment limited.

Feed the Animals
Come watch a naturalist feed the animals at the Nature Center. Learn more about what some turtles eat, where some amphibians live, and other interesting things about the animals in the EcoZone.
Please note: Many of the animals in the EcoZone are wild and non-releasable; therefore guests will not be able to feed or pet the animals themselves.
When: Wednesdays at 3:00pm and Saturdays at 10:00am

Come learn more about one of our animals when a naturalist brings it out for a visit.
